A black tea, blended from selected fields and harvests across the Satemwa Estate; a small, family run tea garden in the Shire Highlands of Malawi.
Remarkably strong, rich and comforting with a deep malty finish.
Origin & Craft
This is powerful stuff. Deep, rich and lovely but not delicate, Speedy works brilliantly with milk - and a biscuit, of course. The tin says Fairly Rare because it's fair; directly traded with the farm at the price they ask. Rare, because it’s grown and crafted from selected fields in Malawi.
Because of the quality of the loose leaf, it doesn't just make one pot. If you refill the pot with fresh water you'll find the second infusion is even better than the first. A generous heaped teaspoon per mug (3g to be precise). It's much quicker than a teabag.
Infuse for 45 seconds for lovely full flavour. 2 minutes if you like it super strong. In 3 minutes it will be deep as a well.
